Kenyan Adventure is delighted to announce two exciting new trips this summer - perfect for the independent traveller!

This summer, Kenyan Adventure is hosting two 2012 Summer Adventures, inviting individuals to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend 10 days working with a range of community projects in a developing area of south-western Kenya. From Monday 2nd July – Friday 13th July or Monday 20th August – Friday 31st August, you can immerse yourself in Kenyan culture during an unforgettable experience.

From football and multi-sports coaching to teaching in schools and community work with children, there are a number of projects to choose from and the trip will require dynamic, enthusiastic individuals who want to give something back to the international community during an incredible travel experience in the Rift Valley.

You do not need to be qualified in your chosen field – you will be provided with teaching/sports coaching resources prior to departure so you can plan ahead!

The trip is organised by Kenyan Adventure from start to finish; from private airport pick-ups and in-country orientation to project briefings and organised leisure time, the 2012 Summer Adventure is a fantastic way to enjoy a rewarding, authentic African experience.

The group will stay together in shared apartments situated on one complex. Apartments benefit from hot running water, electricity and Western-style toilets. The facility is located in a secure compound. Room divisions will be same sex, though couples are accommodated in different apartments.

The three community projects which the Summer Adventure group will support operate between the hours of 9am-4pm and Kenyan Adventure has agreed to support these projects with a combination of teaching assistance, sports coaches and building.

Included in the trip is Kenyan Adventure’s exclusive Rift Valley Adventure Day, a three-part adventure day comprising of a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National safari park – the second most visited in Kenya – a stop off at the earth’s equator and an adventure trail at Thomson Falls near Nyahururu.
