This is the ultimate African safari adventure! The Masai Mara forms half of the most famous safari range in the world and is located on the south-western tip of Kenya. The range is named after the famous tribe (Masai) that live on the outskirts of the national reserve and the adjacent Mara river. It covers over 1500 square kilometres of land and is one of few places in Africa you can go in search of the Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. It is also home to hundreds of thousands of wildebeest whom attract thousands of visitors each year in order to see the world-famous migration to the southern reaches of the neighbouring Serengeti in Tanzania.

You will heading to the southern reaches of Kenya before spending two nights in the Masai Mara camping in huts, with meals provided for you (often on an open fire!) and embark on two early-morning game drives in search of some of the most beautiful animals on the planet, who might just be tucking into breakfast if you catch them early enough! You will be accompanied by an experienced game driver, treated to some authentic African dishes and have the chance to meet real-life Masai warriors - who still live life like their ancestors - along the way!

Day 2

Rise and shine! After a quick-fire breakfast, you'll head into the range for your first game drive, in search of the Big Five! By leaving early in the morning, you are likely to see more animals, who may be tucking into some breakfast of their own!

After your drive, you'll back to base and stop for lunch before visiting the nearby Masai warriors, the ancient tribe who continue to live like their ancestors this very day. You can even treat yourself to a traditional Masai dance (may incur additional cost) and a browse through the hand-carved souvenirs.

After dinner you can spend your evening in the African wild socialising with other safari go-ers!

Day 3

You'll get up bright and early once more in time for a second game drive, ready to explore new ground - the Mara is 300km² in size, so there is plenty to cover - just in case you missed any animals the previous day.

Once your safari adventure is over, you'll trek back north towards the Rift Valley - with another 'must-do' crossed off your list!

It is important to know exactly what you get with your trip so you can plan ahead with no unwanted surprises!

The Masai Mara was everything I had imagined. Our driver, Rufus, was excellent and must have hawk-eyes because we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five! Driving around on open plains and to see the animals in their natural habitat was incredible. The worst part was leaving! - Ashleigh, 29, Crawley

When I went to the Masai Mara early this Spring, the bit I enjoyed most was camping - even though we had an option of staying in lodges. It was the best part of my trip to Kenya. A close second though was the traditional Masaai dance we were treated to by the local tribe. Luke, 27, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
